Betty Gray Early Childhood Education Endowment Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation

This award is generously donated by John and Betty Gray to support students in the Early Childhood Education program. Their dedication to the safety and welfare of children has provided funding for up to 4 students/year. Recipients receive approximately $4,000 per academic year for up to three years. Students must re-apply each year for continued consideration. Awarding of this scholarship is dependent upon funding. Preference given to students who live and/or work in early childhood education in Linn or Benton County. This scholarship is not available to Education majors.

Recipients will be selected based on the following:
Academic Subject Area: Early Childhood Education
Must be Oregon Resident
Requires a minimum GPA of 2.5
Have already completed at least 6 credits in Early Childhood Education Program.
Be required to apply for federal and state financial aid.
Be required to enroll in the Oregon Registry.
Stated career goals must indicate desire to work with children in a Child Care Center, Preschool or Head Start setting and not in the K-12 school system.

Scholarships can be used for: Tuition/fees, books, childcare, living expenses and/or special needs.
