This is a scholarship for students majoring in: Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Computer Science or Biology.
LBCC’s Science, Engineering and Technology Division was approved for a National Science Foundation DUE Grant. Students are selected to receive up to $4,000, based on unmet need.
STEM Scholars are highly encouraged to participate in LBCC Research and Development Cohorts such as the Space Exploration Team, the Remotely Operated Vehicle Team or the Microgravity Group.

Applicants must have a 2.75 GPA (LBCC or high school) or a strong argument on how this scholarship can help them improve the quality of their academic work.
Open to incoming students.
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits per term to receive the funds. To remain eligible for continued scholarship support, scholarship recipients must maintain full-time status (at LBCC) in their major program, continue to progress toward upper-division coursework as determined by their academic advisor and maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
Scholarship can be used for: tuition/fees, books, childcare, living expenses and/or special needs
