Scott Mortlock Endowed Scholarship for Scientific Achievement

Scott Mortlock was a beloved science teacher in the Philomath school District who touched the lives of countless students during his career. His friends and family established the endowed scholarship in his honor to recognize the lives he touched and to encourage more women to engage in science education and careers in science-related fields.

To be eligible for the scholarship applicants must be:
- An LBCC or LBCC/OSU DPP enrolled student pursing a degree related to science in preparation for a career in a science related field.
-Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Preference given to applicants who graduated from Philomath High School.
- Preference given to women studying science.

Scholarship can be used for tuition/fees, books, supplies, childcare and living expenses.

Recipients of LBCC Foundation scholarships are required to write a thank you letter/note within 3 week of the start of the term which they receive an award.
