Zonta Service Foundation of Corvallis - LBCC or OSU Student Scholarship

Zonta Service Foundation of Corvallis offers a scholarship to a student in the LBCC/OSU degree partnership program. The scholarship offers $1,000/term to help over tuition, fees, books, and supplies charged to a recipient’s student account at either LBCC or OSU.

Requirements include:

  • Must be currently enrolled undergrad student at LBCC or OSU who has taken at least on year break in their education (gap may be between high school and college). Preference is given to older than average students, students with family responsibilities and those with financial need.
  • Student must have demonstrated an interest in working to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health or professional status of women OR have demonstrated a willingness to work in a job or profession involving the welfare of children and women.
  • Must be in satisfactory progress and enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits for the length of the scholarship.
  • Currently residing in Oregon.

Applicants must descript in a short essay how they have met the criteria for this scholarship. Address 1) the major life transition that led to a break in education 2) how they have demonstrated commitment to improving the status of women and children 3) how their educational goals and studies advance their commitment and 4) how the scholarship will help in continuing to meet their goals.
