Scott Anselm Culinary Arts Scholarship

Chef Scott Anselm worked in the LBCC Culinary Arts Program as a faculty member for 26 years. His dedication to students and the program was outstanding and he has been greatly missed since his retirement in December 2012.

Scholarship to provide for an LBCC Culinary Arts student.

This scholarship does not require enrollment in a particular subject or program.
Recipient must show financial need
Must be Oregon Resident
Oregon resident of at least two years
Requires a minimum GPA of 2.5 GPA
Student’s year at LBCC when receiving award: Second Year LBCC
Second year LBCC Culinary Arts student. Recipient must be in the top 20% of their class (determined by the average of their Culinary classes – not general education classes.) Student must be enrolled in at least 3 credits of their general education classes or have already completed all general education requirements. Awarded based on planning and research skills (as evidenced in their planning for stations, rotations) reliability (as evidenced by attendance) and team work (as evidenced by their assisting other students and staff.) Thank-you letter to the LBCC Foundation is required.
Scholarships can be used for: tuition/fees, books childcare living expenses and/or special needs.
Award Amount: $1,680.00
Number of Awards available: 1
Apply during Fall Term
Enrollment requirement per term: 12 or more credit hrs.
Term(s) award to be paid: Winter, Spring
Student must submit a thank you letter and attend the annual Scholarship Reception
