James and Nancy Goode Nursing Endowment

James and Nancy Goode have established this fund to assist students in the LBCC Nursing Program. Nancy was a member of the Board of Trustees of the LBCC Foundation for over 20 years. James was a member of the hospital board. They have an interest in promoting health services for the benefit of the community.

This endowment may provide funding for a scholarship(s) for second year LBCC nursing student(s). Potential recipients must be in the top 20% of their class as determined by the average of their nursing classes (not including general education classes.) The LBCC Nursing Dept. Chair will recommend student(s).
Recipients will be selected based on the following:
Second year LBCC Nursing Program student. Student must be in the top 20% of their class as determined by the average of their Nursing classes (not to include general education classes.) A recommendation by the LBCC Nursing Dept. Chair is required.
A thank-you letter to the LBCC Foundation is required. Attendance at the Foundation Honors Reception is strongly encouraged.
Scholarships can be used for: tuition/fees, books, living expenses, etc.
Award Amount: $1,150.00
Number of Awards available: 1
Apply during Fall
Enrollment requirement per term: 1/2 Time 6 – 8 credit hrs.
Term(s) award to be paid: Winter
Students must submit a thank you letter and attend the annual Scholarship Reception
