Bob Ross Biological Science Scholarship

This award is for students seeking a degree or certificate in the fields of Agriculture, Biology, Natural Resources, Education, as these relate to sustainability.

Recipients will be selected based on the following:

Academic Subject Area: Agriculture, Biology, Natural Resources
May be an international student
May be a dual-enrollment student
Requires a minimum GPA of 3.0
Student’s year at LBCC when receiving award: Second Year LBCC.

The applicant must include a list of activities that demonstrate how he/she has already been active in learning about promoting environmental sustainability. Evidences might include such things as having taken high school or college courses that promote sustainability such as horticulture, agriculture, forestry, or ecology, having been active in high school, college or community clubs that promote sustainability in some way. Preference will be given to applicants having worked in horticultural, agricultural, ecological or other businesses or educational labs where sustainability is promoted, or comparable activities. A thank-you letter from the recipient to the LBCC Foundation is required.

Scholarships can be used for: tuition/fees, books, childcare, living expenses and/or or special needs.

Enrollment requirement per term: 12 or more credit hours
