Virginia Bowler Scholarship
This scholarship was established from the estate of and in memory of Virginia Bowler, retired LBCC Librarian. The scholarship is for a student enrolled full-time who is seeking a degree or certificate who have minor children. The intent is to equip the recipient for gainful, fulfilling employment and thus provide the student with control over their own life.
Recipients will be selected based on the following:
Academic Subject Area: Any subject area
May be a dual-enrollment student
Preference given to parents with minor children.
For degree partnership students, a minimum of half the total minimum required enrollment (6 credits) must be at LBCC.
Scholarships can be used for: tuition/fees, books, supplies, child care and living expenses
Award Amount: $5,100.00
Number of Awards available: 1
Apply during Spring Term
Enrollment requirement per term: 12 or more credit hours
Term(s) award to be paid: Fall, Winter, Spring
