Fritz Kleinschmidt Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Fritz S. Kleinschmidt was a remarkable man who had immigrated to the United States after World War II and eventually to Corvallis. He was a leading member of the LBCC Drafting/Engineering advisory committee and a leader in his field. To honor his dedication and devotion to his profession, an engineering technology scholarship fund was established in his memory in 1977.

Scholarship will be for students in the Civil Engineering Technology Certificate Program or the Computer Aided Design and Drafting or CADD Program.

Student’s may be in their first or second year. Applicants are evaluated on grades, attendance, and motivation. This is a financial need based scholarship.

Academic Subject Area: Engineering and Industrial
Recipient must show financial need.
Linn-Benton Community College district residents, or out-of-district students accepted in the Engineering Technology programs.
Requires a minimum GPA of 2.5
Student’s year at LBCC when receiving award: No Preference

Scholarships can be used for: Tuition, books, tools and equipment.

Apply during Fall Term
Enrollment requirement per term: 12 or more credit hrs.
Term(s) award to be paid: Winter

Students must submit a thank you letter and attend the annual Scholarship Reception
