James F. Burnett Sr. Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship is designed for a student who demonstrates some significant adversity. The recipient must show good potential for success and making satisfactory academic progress towards those goals. Student must have completed two terms to receive scholarship (application may be made during second term)and must maintain a 3.0 GPA and have good attendance in the classroom. Student’s financial need should be primary reason for the award. Special consideration may be given to a single parent. Recipients will be selected based on the following:
Academic Subject Area: Any subject area
Recipient must show financial need
Must be Oregon Resident
Preference given to Linn or Benton County resident.
May be a dual-enrollment student
Requires a minimum GPA of 3.0
Student’s year at LBCC when receiving award: No Preference
Student must have completed two terms and maintain a 3.0 GPA and have good attendance in the classroom.
Special consideration may be given to a single parent.
Scholarships can be used for: Tuition/fees, books, childcare, living expenses and/or special needs
Award Amount: $300
Number of Awards available: 1
Student can receive scholarship multiple times
Apply during Winter Term
Enrollment requirement per term: 12 or more credit hours
Term(s) award to be paid: Spring
