Gene Hatfield Memorial Scholarship
The Gene Hatfield scholarship was established and is funded annually by the Oregon State Credit Union. This endowment provides scholarships for full or half-time students who are seeking a degree or certificate in Business, Accounting or Criminal Justice.
NOTE: Students in an extended high school program are not eligible.
Recipients will be selected based on the following:
May be a dual-enrollment student
Available to High School Seniors (restrictions may apply).
Student’s year at LBCC when receiving award: No Preference
Recipients must live in Benton, Linn, Lincoln, Marion or Polk Counties. Financial need based on student’s budget sheet included with application. 2.75 GPA for transfer students and 2.50 for career and technical students
A thank-you letter is required and sent to the LBCC Foundation Office.
Attendance at the Foundation Honors Reception is strongly encouraged.
For degree partnership/dual enrolled students – student must be enrolled in at least half of their total credits at LBCC (OSU 100 and 200 level classes only apply.)
Scholarships can be used for: tuition/fees, books, living expenses, etc.
Award Amount: $2,900.00
Number of Awards available: 1
Apply during Spring Term
Enrollment requirement per term: minimum 1/2 Time (6 credit hours)
