Libby Memorial Scholarship Endowment
The Libby Memorial Scholarship is for students majoring in a career and technical (non-transfer/CTE) area of study;
NOT TO INCLUDE: Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Management/Marketing, Computer Programming and Criminal Justice. There are multiple awards: $1,000 per term for for full-time (12 credits) students and $500 per term for for half-time students (6 credits). Must demonstrate a need for financial assistance, have a declared major and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours/term with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Students must be a resident of Linn, Benton, Lane, Marion, Polk or Yamhill Counties for at least one year prior to attending LBCC and graduated from a high school in the counties listed above. Students who have home-school verification or a GED certificate shall also be eligible for the scholarship. Exception to the residency requirement will be made for those who have served in the Peace Corps or Armed Services.
NOTE: Students in an extended high school program are not eligible.
Recipients will be selected based on the following:
Recipient must show financial need
Requires a minimum GPA of 2.0
Student’s year at LBCC when receiving award: No Preference
Two recommendations required. Unofficial transcripts from most recent high school required or home-school verification.
Scholarships can be used for: tuition/fees, books, childcare, living expenses and/or special needs
Award Amount: $3,000.00
Number of Awards available: 6
Student can receive scholarship multiple times
Apply during Fall Term, Spring Term
Enrollment requirement per term: 1/2 Time (6 credit hours)
