Ron Mason Scholarship for Math, Engineering and Physics

This scholarship provides funding for students pursuing the fields of Math, Engineering or Physics.
(
Engineering programs that require at least the first two terms of Calculus.)
Graduating high school students may apply; however, “Fifth Year” students are not eligible.
Applicants must enroll in or have completed by fall term of award Standard Calculus MTH 251.
Financial need is determined by student budget sheet in application (FAFSA is not required.)
Degree Partnership Program (DPP) students must be enrolled full time (12 credits) and be enrolled for a minimum of 9 credits at LBCC each term of award.
Recipients will be selected based on the following:
This scholarship does not require enrollment in a particular subject/major or program.
Recipient must show financial need
Must be Oregon Resident
U.S. Citizen
May be a dual-enrollment student
Requires a minimum GPA of 2.75 GPA
Available to High School Seniors (restrictions may apply).
Student’s year at LBCC when receiving award: No Preference
Student must enroll in or have completed Standard Calculus MTH 251 by fall term of award.
Thank-you letter to the LBCC Foundation is highly recommended.
Attendance at the Foundation Honors Reception in the spring is highly recommended.
Scholarships can be used for: tuition/fees, books, childcare, living expenses and/or special needs
