Glenda Sasser Tepper Scholarship

Glenda Tepper started her 30-year enrollment services career at Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls in 1977. She transferred to Linn-Benton Community College in 1994 and ultimately retired from Clackamas Community College in 2005. All of her education was earned while working a full-time job.

While working at LBCC Glenda was on the originating board of the LBCC/OSU Degree Partnership Program. After spending years working at a four year university, Glenda came to LBCC and discovered how important community colleges are in so many lives. Access to education has always been very important to her and this scholarship will help students from Klamath and Lake counties reach their educational goals.

This scholarship will provide financial assistance with preference given to a student from Klamath or Lake Counties of Oregon to reach their educational goals. Preference given to applicants who have graduated from high school in the Klamath or Lake Counties of Oregon within the past five years.

Recipient must show financial need
Must be Oregon Resident
Preference given to Klamath or Lake County Oregon residents within the last five years only
Requires a minimum GPA of 2.50/2.75
Student’s year at LBCC when receiving award: No Preference
GPA 2.50 for Career and Technical Programs or GPA 2.75 for Transfer Programs
Scholarships can be used for: Tuition/fees, books, childcare, living expenses and/or special needs
Award Amount: $1250.00

Student can receive scholarship multiple times
Apply during Fall Term
Enrollment requirement per term: 12 or more credit hrs.
Term(s) award to be paid: Winter, Spring
Student must submit a thank you letter and attend the annual Scholarship Reception
