The Lee and Pat Archibald Vocational Careers Scholarship

Lee and Pat Archibald Vocational Careers scholarship honors the memory and convictions of Lee and Pat Archibald, especially their creativity and dedication in improving public education and technical education in Albany, Oregon. Lee was part of the team that established LBCC and he served as Dean of Students in its early years, and Pat was an award-winning long-time health-education teacher in Albany public schools. The aims of the scholarships are to make it possible for more Albany, Oregon high-school graduates with financial limitations to achieve career-enabling post-secondary job training in healthcare and vocational fields so that they can be hired into good technical jobs and do good quality work in Albany or elsewhere.

Student must be seeking a degree/certificate in a 2-year vocational (CTE) program.
2. Student must demonstrate financial need.
3. Student must have earned a GED or high school diploma with at least three years in at an Albany, Oregon public school OR a high school diploma from an Albany, Oregon public high school.
4. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.50.
5. Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits
6. Student may be duel enrolled with another university.

Award will be based on available funds necessary to cover the tuition and fees for up to $2,250 and will be divided equally over each term. Award is renewable until the completion of the degree/certificate.
